Guilderland High School Soccer

“Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment, until it becomes a memory.”

Dear Alumni,

Why staying in contact with your HS Alma mater?

Students –past and present- are what any high school should be all about. Faculty and staff are vital as well, but students are unique in that they will forever fill a role – whether they are current students or long graduated. It would be easy to lose track of most graduates after they embark on their various careers, but doing so seems to be a huge mistake.

Why? Graduates create the high school’s reputation, which relies in large part on how successful graduates are in the real world. The feedback from our graduates, from you, our Alumni, on your individual success in life, on and off the pitch, is what connects us over distance and through time. Those exchanges are important for the growth of our high school.

Alumni Weekend in September 2014 was our first attempt to recognize and document our exciting and successful GHS Soccer Alumni. During 50 years of dedication and commitment to the most beautiful game in the world, graduates from this program went on to play in all collegiate divisions, as well as all amateur and professional leagues.

The recent celebration of 50 years of GHS boys soccer Excellence started numerous exciting discussions that will have us looking forward to the next Alumni weekend. Please mark your calendar for a tentative Alumni event on Columbus Day weekend – Friday & Saturday October 9-10, 2015. Please stay tuned for a confirmation and further detail in our April E-letter.

Currently, there are over 550 Alumni members of the GHS boys soccer program. Every year during Senior Day festivities we see our Alumni grow by approximately ten new members. As you can imagine, communicating with so many Alumni is fairly challenging, so it is important that we all keep in touch (i.e., frequent updates on current email contacts). In this regard, to update your personal contact information at any time, please contact:
