The Dutchmen ended their season with a non-league game against Schalmont. From the start of the game the Dutchmen were dominating. In the 13th minute, Ryan Eddy played a short corner to Alex Mendel who served the ball into the box where Paul Nho headed it in putting the Dutchmen on top 1 to 0. Then in the 20th minute Mike Hamilton worked into the box and passed to Casey Tynan to make the score 2 to 0. In the 27th minute Mike Hamilton served a corner kick into the box and Marco Sciocchetti scored to make it 3 to 0. In the 39th minute, the Schalmont goalie made a save but could not control the rebound and Andrew Eldeiry pounced on the ball to put the Dutchmen up 4 to 0 at the half. In the second half the Dutchmen started right up where they left off in the first half. In the 44th minute, Kevin Huang stole the ball from the Schalmont player and scored. Then in the 68th minute Ryan Eddy played the ball through to Brandon Ford who beat the defender and the Dutchmen were up 6 to 0. In the 74th minute the Dutchmen moved the ball up the sideline where Casey Tynan made a nice pass to Andrew Czekay who played the ball on to Eric Hoffman who scored his first goal of the season and the Dutchmen were up 7 to 0. The final goal of the game came in the 79th minute. Matt Kinnally worked along the sideline and passed to Andrew Czekay who scored his first goal of the season. Hugh Smith and Aaron Ashery combined for 6 saves against Schalmont, for the season they held 7 opponents scoreless. The Dutchmen concluded their season with 11 wins and 5 loses.




GAME 15
10/15/2015 @GHS: Guilderland 2 - Colonie 0

The Dutchmen played their last league game against Colonie on the varsity field on Thursday.  The Dutchmen started off strong and pressured Colonie from the start.  In the 10th minute, Alex Mendel took a corner kick and John Tricozzi put the Dutchmen up 1 to 0.  Then in the 33rd minute, Paul Nho made a nice move in the box to beat his defender and he was taken down resulting in a penalty kick.  Alex Mendel took the penalty kick and put the Dutchmen up 2 to 0.  In the second half the Dutchmen continued to control the pace of the game.  There were a few opportunities but they were unable to put any into the goal. Aaron Ashery and Hugh Smith combined for 5 saves to preserve the shut out.

10/13/2015 @Columbia: Columbia 1 - Guilderland 5

The way the game started it looked like there were going to be a lot of scoring.  In the 1st minute of the game, Columbia scored off a Guilderland turnover.  Guilderland stormed right back when Paul Nho took the ball along the far sideline and made a nice pass to Andrew Eldeiry in front of the goal to tie the game at 1 to 1.  The game started to settle down at that point but the Dutchmen continued to dominate possession.  In the 12th minute the Dutchmen continued the pressure.  The Columbia goalie made a save but he could not cover the ball and Casey Tynan pounced on the rebound to put the Dutchmen up 2 to 1.  The Dutchmen had some additional opportunities to score in the first half but they could not find the back of the net.  At halftime the score was 2 to 1 Guilderland.  In the 63rd minute Connor Phillips scored his first goal of the season off a corner kick from Alex Mendel.  Then in the 70th minute John Tricozzi also scored his first goal of the season.  This goal also came off a nice corner kick by Alex Mendel and John got to the loose ball to put the Dutchmen up 4 to 1.  The final goal of the game for the Dutchmen came in the 78th minute.  Michael Hamilton beat his defender in the box and he was knocked down.  Michael was awarded a penalty kick which he converted to make the final score 5 to 1 Dutchmen.  Aaron Ashery and Hugh Smith combined for 5 saves.  The Dutchmen will play Colonie at home on Thursday.   



GAME 13
10/08/2015 @GHS: Guilderland 0 - Bethlehem 2

Assists: 0

Bethlehem and Guiderland both had opportunities to score in the first half but neither team could find the back of the net.  In the 66th minute Bethlehem struck first to take a 1 to 0 lead. Then, in the 76th minute, Bethlehem sealed the victory with their second goal of the game. The final score of the game was 2 to 0.  The Dutchmen will travel to Columbia on Tuesday.



GAME 12
10/06/2015 @Mohonasen: Mohonasen 0 - GHS 1

The Dutchmen traveled to Rotterdam to play Mohonasen.  The Dutchmen controlled the game from the start but Mohonasen’s formation seem to stymie the Dutchmen.  At the half the score was tied at 0.  In the second half the Dutchmen picked up where they left off.  They continued to pressure Mohonasen and made some plays to generate shots but they could not score.  Now the Dutchmen were faced with playing their second overtime game in two days.  In the first 10 minute period the Dutchmen had opportunities but Mohonasen was able to keep the Dutchmen off the board.  In the second overtime period Mohonasen made a few runs at the Dutchmen.  With about 2 minutes left in the second overtime Brandon Ford kicked the ball over the top.  Alex Mendel was able to beat the Mohonasen defender to the ball and placed a chip shot over the goalie to give Guilderland the 1 to 0 victory.  The Dutchmen will play at home on Thursday against Bethlehem. 




GAME 11
10/05/2015 @GHS: Guilderland 1 - Saratoga 2

When the game started Saratoga controlled the game and kept the pressure on the Dutchmen.  In the 24th minute the Dutchmen were awarded a corner kick.  Mike Hamilton placed a nice ball into the box and Paul Nho put the loose ball into the goal.  Saratoga came back strong and the scored in the 30th minute.  A Blue Steak player kicked from about 35 yards out and the ball was redirected by another Blue Streak player to tie the game at 1 to 1.  In the second half both teams had opportunities to score.  The game moved into overtime and Saratoga controlled the game.  In the 87th minute they had a two on one breakaway.  The ball was passed across the box and the Saratoga player slipped the ball under the goalie to end the game.  Hugh Smith and Aaron Ashery combined for 6 saves. 





GAME 10
10/01/2015 @GHS: Guilderland 1 - Ballston Spa 4

The Dutchmen faced off against a strong team from Ballston Spa.  Ballston Spa started out quickly scoring in the 3rd and 5th minute of the game.  After the two goals the Dutchmen played stronger and had a few opportunities to score.  At the half it was 2 to 0 Ballston Spa.  In the 54th minute the Dutchmen got on the board.  Ben Rosenblatt placed a free kick into the box and Paul Nho scored.  After the goal the game started to get more physical.  Ballston Spa scored in the 59th minute off a nice shot from about 18 yards out into the upper 90.  Ballston Spa closed out the scoring in the 78th minute with another goal into the upper 90.  The Dutchmen will play a make up against Saratoga on Monday.




GAME 9
09/26/2015 @Niskayuna: Niskayuna 1 - Guilderland 2

The Dutchmen started off quickly against Niskayuna. Niskayuna started off pressuring the Dutchmen right from the start. Then in the 3rdminute the Dutchmen cleared the ball along the far side of the field. Ryan Eddy took the ball along the sideline and passed to Brandon Ford in the box to put the Dutchmen up 1 to 0. In the 4th minute the Dutchmen scored again. Ruben Chen moved the ball along the far side of the field into the corner and passed to Brandon Ford to put the Dutchmen up 2 to 0. Niskayuna got on the board in the 38th minute to make the score 2 to 1 at the half. In the second half both teams had opportunities to score but they were kept off the board. Hugh Smith and Aaron Ashery combined to make 12 saves. The Dutchmen will play at home Tuesday against Saratoga. 



GAME 8
09/24/2015 @Troy: Troy 0 - Guilderland 5

The Dutchmen scored in the 4th minute of the game.  Alex Mendel worked along the end line and passed the ball in front on the net.  A Troy player tried to clear the ball but ended up scoring an own goal.  For the remainder of the first half Troy played the Dutchmen tough and at the half the score was 1 to 0.  In the second half the Dutchmen started to turn up the pressure.  In the 52nd minute Travis Mauro made a run along the far side of the field and passed to Arnav Kannan for the second goal of the game.  Then Michael Hamilton made a nice move in the box and passed to Brandon Ford for the third goal in the 56th minute.  After this goal, Troy had one of their best opportunities to score.  A player got behind the defense; Hugh Smith made a great play coming out to meet the player and smothered the ball.  In the 64th minute, Alex Mendel worked down the field and passed to Ryan Eddy to put the Dutchmen up 4 to 0.  The last goal of the game came in the 73rd minute Paul Nho made a nice run.  Brandon Ford then passed to Ryan Eddy to make the final score Guilderland 5 and Troy 0.  Hugh Smith and Aaron Ashery combined for 4 saves.  The Dutchmen will play Saturday against Niskayuna.



GAME 7
09/17/2015 @GHS: Guilderland 4 - Albany 1

The Dutchmen faced an Albany team that was very persistent.  Albany used their speed at times to put pressure on the Dutchmen. Then in the 24th minute the Dutchmen had a few shots on goal.  The rebound came to Travis Mauro he moved to his left and took a shot with his left foot for the first goal of the game.  In the 30th minute Kevin Huang took a pass from Arnav Kannan and scored the Dutchmen’s second goal. At the half it was 2 to 0 Dutchmen.  In the second half the Dutchmen started off strong pressuring the Falcons. Then in the 54th minute Derek Petti got the ball in the Dutchmen’s 18 and cleared the ball to mid field. Kevin Huang beat the defender to the ball and scored his second goal of the game.  After this goal the Falcons turned up the pressure and in the 60th minute they scored. The Falcon player made a nice move going against four defenders to put the Falcons on the board. Scoring gave the Falcons new life and they kept up the pressure after this goal but this would also lead to the Dutchmen’s next goal. The goal was just like the Dutchmen’s third goal with Albany pressing Ryan Sanders cleared the ball past mid field to Paul Nho. Paul made a move to beat the defender and slipped the ball under the goalie’s arm for the Dutchmen’s fourth goal. Albany tried to press but the Dutchmen controlled the final 24 minutes of the game. The Dutchmen are now 5 and 2 on the season and will travel to Troy next Thursday.   



GAME 6
09/15/2015 @Averill Park:  Averill Park 0 - Guilderland 6

The Dutchmen traveled to Averill Park, from the start the Dutchmen were in control of the game and had a number of scoring opportunities.  The first goal was scored in the 10th minute off a rebound by Andrew Eldeiry.  Then in the 12th minute, pressure applied by Paul Nho resulted in the second goal of the game.  At the half the Dutchmen were up 2 to 0. In the 45th minute Alex Mendel scored off a pass from Andrew Eldeiry.  Then in the 49th minute Casey Tynan scored off a pass from Alex Mendel.  With the score 4 to 0 the Dutchmen continued to keep the pressure on the Warriors.  In the 55th minute, Kevin Huang worked along the end line and passed to Brandon Ford for the fifth goal.  The final goal of the game came in the 69th minute when Marco Sciocchetti intercepted an Averill Park pass and scored.  The Dutchmen will play again on Thursday at home against Albany.



GAME 5
09/12/2015 @GHS:  Guilderland 4 - BH-BL 0

The Dutchmen got back on track with a 4 to 0 win against the Spartans.  The Dutchmen got on the board in the 4th minute.  Anders Lindberg scored with the assist going to Brandon Ford.  Then in the 25th minute, Casey Tynan placed a free kick into the box.  The Spartans tried to clear but Ruben Chen got to the ball and scored the second goal of the game.  In the 36th minute, Kevin Huang worked along the end line to Arnav Kannan for the third goal.  At the half the score was 3 to 0.  In the 43rd minute, Michael Hamilton scored the final goal of the game to make it 4-0 for the Dutchmen, with the assist going to Paul Nho.  Hugh Smith and Aaron Ashery combined for 8 saves.  The Dutchmen will travel to Averill Park on Tuesday.


GAME 4
09/10/2015 @ GHS:  Guilderland 1 - Shaker 2
Goals: Ford (1)
Assists: Mendel (1)

Shaker opened the scoring in the 8th minute.  Then in the 34th minute Shaker scored their second goal of the game.  Both teams had to deal with the light rain and the slippery field conditions.  At the half the score was 2 to 0.  In the second half, Guilderland had an opportunity to get on the scoreboard.  Andrew Eldeiry placed a cross in the box and Ryan Eddy’s header hit the back post.  The Dutchmen got on the board in the 64th minute.  Alex Mendel setup the goal with a nice pass to Brandon Ford.  The Dutchmen played well over the final 16 minutes but they could not get the equalizer.  The next game will be on Saturday at home against BH-BL.


GAME 3
09/08/2015 @Shenedehowa:  Shen 3 - Guilderland 0

The Dutchmen traveled to Clifton Commons to play Shen and the warm weather had an impact on the starting time again.  The Plainsmen started off strong and they scored two quick goals in the 4th and 9th minute of the game.  The Plainsmen held a 9 to 2 shots on goal advantage and at the half the score was 2-0.  In the second half Shen scored in the 47th minute to take a 3 to 0 lead.  Shen ended the game with 18 shots on goal to the Dutchmen’s 5 shots.  Hugh Smith and Aaron Ashery played well in goal combining for 15 saves.



GAME 2
09/04/2015 @Schenectady HS: SHS 0 - Guilderland 4

Assists: Czekay (1), Tynan (1), Mendel (1)

The Dutchmen traveled to Schenectady.  Mother Nature played a role in the game with the start delayed due to thunder and lightning.  Then 16 minutes into the game it was delayed a second time.  In the 27th minute Casey Tynan took a shot on goal that was saved by the goalie.  When the goalie went to throw the ball he lost the handle and it slipped out of his hands into the net for the first goal.  Matt Kinnally scored in the 30th minute with the assist from Andrew Czekay.  At the half it was 2-0 Dutchmen.  Schenectady continued to play the Dutchmen strong in the second half.  In the 53rd minute, Brandon Ford scored off a pass from Casey Tynan.  Then in the 55th minute, Alex Mendel setup the final goal with a pass to Michael Hamilton.  The Dutchmen will travel to Clifton Park to play Shenendehowa next Tuesday.      



GAME 1
09/01/2015 @ GHS: Guilderland 9 - CBA 1

The Dutchmen opened their season against CBA with a 9 to 1 victory.  Michael Hamilton opened the scoring off a rebound.  The second goal was scored by Casey Tynan with the assist from Michael Hamilton.  Michael Hamilton then received a nice pass himself from Matt Kinnally to score the third goal.  Derek Petti scored the next two goals the first was setup by Anders Lindberg and the second was unassisted.  At the half the score was 5 to 0.  CBA scored their only goal early in the second half.  Then it was all Dutchmen again with Casey Tynan scoring off a pass from Marco Sciocchetti.  Andrew Eldeiry intercepted a pass and scored the seventh goal of the game unassisted.  Alex Mendel setup the next goal with a nice pass to Kevin Huang.  The final goal was scored by Ryan Eddy with the assist to Alex Mendel.  The next game will be Thursday at Schenectady.
